Dr. Brittany Kawas graduated cum laude from St. Edward’s University in Austin, TX, with her B.S. in biology. She earned her D.D.S. degree from the University of Texas School of Dentistry in Houston. Upon graduating from dental school, Dr. Kawas transitioned into her endodontics residency at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry and received a Certificate in Endodontics. Brittany served as the chief resident during her endodontic residency program. In addition, Dr. Kawas currently serves on the Public and Professional Relations Committee of the American Association of Endodontists. During her residency, she completed IV moderate sedation training at the Foundry Dental Clinic in Birmingham and at the University of Iowa. She is certified to provide IV moderate sedation.
Dr. Kawas has provided volunteer dental services for patients at the Texas Mission of Mercy, at community clinics around Houston, TX, the Free Dental Clinic in Iowa City, and through a service trip to Jamaica. She is an adjunct clinical assistant professor within the University of Iowa College of Dentistry Endodontics Department. She’s also a member of the American Association of Endodontists, the American Dental Association, Greater Dane Dental Society, and the Wisconsin Dental Association.
